T-esports Championship in Budapest with total prize pool of 100,000 €
The best esports players from the CEE region, including Hungary, will be able to compete in four games.
After two successful years, Deutsche Telekom is expanding the international esports tournament T-esports Championship (TEC) to the European level. Amateur and semi-professional competitors, including Hungarians now, can compete in four popular games: Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, EA FC 24, and Brawl Stars in the fall of 2024 for the outstanding total prize money of 100,000 euros.
TEC will take place from August 14 to September 20, and in addition to Hungary, the best teams from Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Montenegro will line up. It is a novelty that this year’s T-esports Championship welcomes participants from all over Europe in addition to the selected countries. The competition will start with the online qualifiers on September 9. After the qualification phase, the teams and players who advance can win the Swiss-style play-off for the finals. The finale will be held in Budapest at the HUNGEXPO, the fall PlayIT, on November 16 and 17, 2024, on Telekom’s huge esports stage.
Four games, but only one winner. TEC covers today’s popular esports competition platforms. Counter-Strike 2 and the League of Legends competition will take place on PC, EA Sports FC 24 on PlayStation 5 consoles, and Brawl Stars on mobile devices in the finale, on the big stage, in professional conditions.
Entries, qualifiers and online matches take place on Telekom’s dedicated FACEIT tournament organizer site, while Esport1 is responsible for the on-site final, as well as Hungarian-language interests and the live broadcast of the final.
The total prize money of the competition is 100,000 euros (~40,000,000 HUF), which is distributed as follows:
Counter-Strike 2: €50,000
League of Legends: €30,000
EA FC 24: €10,000
Brawl Stars: €10,000
